Judge Caroline Turner

Judicial Outreach Team Leader and Board Secretary

Formerly a British nurse, but now an accomplished trial lawyer, Judge Caroline Turner did a Master’s Degree at the University of Pennsylvania in Bioethics in 2001 prior to completing her law degree at Temple University Beasley School of Law in 2004. Judge Turner's love of the law developed while she was living in Spain and fund-raising and campaigning on behalf of refugees during the civil war in Bosnia back in the early nineties. She was invited to go with a convoy bringing supplies to Bosnia by the Aragonese government. It was her experience there that solidified her desire to fight for justice and to pursue the law. She worked as a public defender in New Jersey for a total of 11 years. During that time she completed a LLM degree in trial advocacy at Temple University School of Law in 2010 and she tried numerous felony jury trials with an outstanding success rate of acquittals. Prior to being elected as Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Philadelphia, PA. Judge Turner worked as a plaintiff's trial attorney for Swartz Culleton PC for 6 years trying Medical Malpractice & Nursing Home Negligence Cases. She is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania & New Jersey.
